Education leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB programmes)

English-language education leading to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma is provided on IB programmes by upper secondary schools assigned with this special educational mission. The actual IB programme is completed in two years, preceded by one year of preparatory education; in other words, education leading to the IB Diploma lasts three years in total.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma is an internationally recognised school-leaving examination which qualifies candidates for admission to universities and colleges all over the world.

You can apply to an IB programme through the joint application system but you need to send certificates of your previous education directly to the schools.

For further information about applying to programmes, see the programme description and school websites.
