The higher education institutions will publish results from the joint application to higher education according to their own timetables during spring.
All results will be published on 4 June 2021 at the latest.

How to fill in the application form in joint application

Access the application form

You can access the application form during the application period via your shortlist on the top of the page, the study programme description or the calendar on the front page by clicking “Fill in application“.

No registration is needed for filling in the application form. You do not have to log in, just open the form and start. Carefully read the instructions at the beginning of the application form.

Application options

In the section called “Application options”, choose your preferred study programmes. You can apply to up to six study programmes. Choose the study programmes to which you wish to apply and click add. You can search for study programmes for example based on the name of the programme, the field of study or the educational institution.

Personal details

Next you need to fill in your personal details. Mandatory information is marked with an asterisk.

If you do not have a Finnish identity code, you are asked to fill in your date of birth and gender.

Make sure that your email address is typed correctly.

Educational background

Next you need to fill in your educational background. Select and fill in the information of the education that you have completed or will complete during the admission process.

You might be asked to upload attachments regarding your educational background.

After filling in the information of your prior education you might be asked additional questions depending on your selected study programmes.


In the section called “permissions” you need to give your consent for electronic communication, give other relevant permissions and select your contact language. You need to fill in this information in order to submit the application.

Check missing information and preview

You can check the missing information by clicking “Check x answers” at the top of the page. After checking and adding the missing information, you can preview the application by clicking “Preview”.

Carefully preview the information. Pay attention to your email address.

Submit your application

After previewing the information, submit the application by clicking “Submit application”.

After submitting the application, you will receive a confirmation email to the address you have given on the application form.

Note that you can only submit one application form in the same joint application. If you submit several, only the newest one will be taken into consideration and all others will be deleted.

Make possible changes to your application

You can make changes to your application during the application period by using the link in the confirmation email.

Please note that the link is personal! Giving it to someone else means that they can make changes to your application.

All changes made via the link are binding after the application period in question has ended.

If you have online banking codes from a bank in Finland, a Finnish mobile certificate or Finnish electronic ID-card, you can use them to log in to the My Studyinfo -service to make changes.

If you do make changes, remember to check if you need to send or resubmit certificate copies and submit the required attachments on time. You can check the deadlines for different attachments on the application form.

Make sure you save the confirmation email and the link included in it! If you have lost them, please contact the higher education institution you have applied to directly.
