Universities of applied sciences and universities charge a tuition fee from Bachelor’s or Master’s level students studying in languages other than Finnish or Swedish.

Education in Natural Sciences provides a basis for R&D assignments within business and industry and at research institutes. It also provides capabilities for teaching work in basic education, general upper secondary education, at polytechnics and universities as well as in companies.

The field of education covers:

  • bio and environmental sciences, such as ecology, zoology and hydrobiology
  • physical sciences, such as physics, meteorology and astronomy
  • geology
  • chemistry
  • geography
  • mathematical subjects
  • computer science and information technology
  • information sciences and interactive media.

Programmes in Natural Sciences are available at all universities in Finland.
