Information and Communication Technologies

Qualifications in Information and Communication Technologies (vocational qualification, further qualification, and specialist qualification) impart wide-ranging competence in information and communication technology and qualify students for employment in various tasks in the sector.

Where to work and what to do? The work is customer-oriented, versatile and varying. You can often transfer from one position to another inside the field. You can work in versatile tasks with professionals in varying projects for companies and organisations in the field, for which you can also work in service, expert or supporting positions. Optionally, the field provides opportunities to become an entrepreneur.

Alan vaatimukset: Tietojenkäsittely- ja tietoliikennealalla sinun on seurattava jatkuvasti muuttuvan alan kehitysvirtauksia ja kehityttävä työssäsi. Alan tehtävissä toimiminen edellyttää, että ymmärrät yritys- ja liiketoiminnan periaatteita, ja osaat soveltaa tieto-, tietoliikenne- ja viestintekniikan sisältämät mahdollisuudet yritystoiminnan ja asiakkaiden vaatimuksiin. Koska työskentely useimmiten on projektimuotoista, tarvitset työssäsi yhteistyö- ja vuorovaikutustaitoja. Lisäksi alalla käytetään laajasti englannin kieltä sekä kirjallisessa että suullisessa viestinnässä.

Requirements: As a professional in the field of Information and Communcation Technologies you need to be able to follow current trends and develop your competencies accordingly. To be able to work in the field, you will need to understand the basics of business and entrepreneurship and apply the opportunities provided by ICT into the needs of business and customers. Work is often based on projects, and therefore you will need co-operation and interaction skills. A good command of the English language is essential, as it is often used in the field.

Admission: You can apply to basic vocational education either in the spring joint application or in the flexible admission throughout the year. You can apply to all vocational qualifications via the flexible admission.
